The Police Command in Lagos State has confirmed the killing of three suspected cultists on Wednesday night in the Bariga area by another suspected group.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday.
Hundeyin said that the command was yet to identify the groups involved in the attack, adding that operatives have been drafted to the area for peace.
NAN gathered that one of those inflicted with bullet injury during the gun duel was now in a coma in an undisclosed hospital.
It further learnt that the cultists last week were noticed to be preparing for the clash, which most residents in the Bariga area never thought would claim lives.

“It spread towards Akilo, sungas, and inwards Olorunkemi Street in the Somolu area, where innocent passersby sustained varying degrees of injury.
“Residents are calling on the Commissioner of Police, Mr Idowu Owohunwa to come to their rescue.
