Female vocalists battle for glory at the Headies Awards!

The Headies Awards, often referred to as the “Grammy of Nigeria,” has released the nominees list with incredible talents that will battle for the ‘Best Vocal Performance female’ currently under spotlight.

Let’s look at the female nominees who have been individually described as combination of passion power, resilience and vocal prowess.

Niniiola

Niniola, a dynamic force known for her chart-topping hits. Her debut single, “Maradona,” was a hit in Nigeria and South Africa, and she has since released a number of other successful singles, including “Akara Oyibo,” “Shaba,” and “Jigi Jigi.” Niniiola has also won a number of awards, including the Headies Award for Best New Act in 2017 and the All Africa Music Awards for Best Female Artist in 2018.

Simi

Simi, the enchanting songbird has released three studio albums, “Ogidan,” “Simisola,” and “Omo Charlie Champagne, Vol. 1.” Simi has won a number of awards, including the Headies Award for Best Female Vocal Performance in 2015 and 2017, and the Nigeria Entertainment Award for Best Female Artist in 2016.
