Niger State Governor Muhammed Bago has urged Muslims to continue praying for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.

He made the call in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Bologi Ibrahim, and made accessible to newsmen in Minna on Wednesday.

The governor stated that the country is facing numerous issues that will require divine intervention in addition to human efforts to address.

Bago offered his heartfelt congratulations and warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah all around the world on the start of the new Islamic year (Muharram 1, 1445 AH).

According to him, the new Islamic Calendar represents a period of introspection, regeneration, and spiritual refreshment.

“As well as serves as a reminder of the values of unity, faith and perseverance that have continued to guide and inspire Muslims Worldwide,” he said.

He urged them to keep praying for peace, tranquillity, and economic progress in the state and the country as a whole.

Bago underlined the importance of Muslims living their lives in conformity with the Qur’an and Hadith.

He reassured the people of his administration’s unshakeable intention to construct a new Niger.

The governor also urged them and all Nigerians to embrace the occasion to pray for the country’s leaders at all levels to be successful in their efforts to find long-term solutions to societal concerns.
