When word came that Abdullahi had died, traders, locals, and bystanders on the Katsina-Kano route were forced to flee for their lives.

It will be remembered that gunmen stormed the same housing development a fortnight ago, taking one person who is still in their possession.

Meanwhile, people are asking with security officials to intervene and save their lives and property.

Residents who requested anonymity for fear of being killed by gunmen, claimed they no longer slept with their eyes closed.
