Mary Ngozi Kekwaru: returned $70,000 misplaced by a guest in Eko hotel, her workplace

Emohua Local Government Council of Rivers State has appointed Ms Mary Ngozi Kekwaru, a staff of Eko Hotels staff Lagos who recently returned the sum of$70,000 US dollars forgotten by a guest in the hotel, as its ambassador.

Ms Kekwaru is an indigene of Rundele community in Emohua LGA of Rivers State.

She will be honoured as an Ambassador of the Local Government Area for her exceptional display of honesty and sincerity in returning $70,000 misplaced by a guest in her place of work at Eko Hotels in far away Lagos State.

The Chairman of Emohua local Government area, Hon. Chidi Lloyd, announced the appointment of Ms Kekwaru as Ambassador of the local government area.

LIyod said exemplary and outstanding character of Ms Kekwaru has elicited joy among people of Emohua local government area, stressing that the people of the area are very grateful to the young lady for adding immeasurable value to humanity.

While announcing the development, Bright Jossy-Elendu,the Chief Press Secretary of the Council said: “The Chairman will on Thursday, 3rd August, 2023, formally unveil Ms Mary Ngozi Kekwaru as Emohua Local Government Brand Ambassador, for elevating the image of the local government area with an exceptional character, at a brief reception to be held in her honour at the Executive Chambers of Emohua local government council.

Some residents of the state have been in a celebration mood since the news of exemplary show of honesty by Kekwaru broke in the social media.
