Actress Bukunmi Oluwasina has announced that she will be part of an upcoming stage play in Toronto, Canada to display her exceptional theatrical prowess.

Having graduated from the prestigious Dramatic Art department at Obafemi Awolowo University seven years ago, Bukunmi cherishes the memories, experiences, and versatility that studying Theatre Art brought to her life.

However, she revealed that her heart aches for the thrill of performing live on the stage, which she considers the most cherished aspect of her five-year educational journey.

In her heartfelt Instagram post, the actress shared her thoughts on the challenges and rewards of being a stage performer. Bukunmi reminisced about the immense dedication and mental fortitude required to memorize lengthy lines from bulky play texts, like those of renowned playwrights William Shakespeare and Wole Soyinka.

From navigating complex blockings with fellow actors to ensuring her voice reaches the farthest seat in the theater without resorting to shouting, Bukunmi highlighted the artistry and skill required to deliver a captivating performance.

The actress also expressed her love for the various elements of theatre, including the disciplined dancing, the harmonious singing as part of an orchestra, and the enchanting sounds of Bata drums and sekere during rehearsals.

Furthermore, she acknowledged the importance of understanding different intonations, gestures, and character traits that bring her roles to life, making the experience on stage all the more immersive.
