Kanye West’s X account, formerly known as Twitter, has been reinstated eight months after it was suspended.
In 2022, the rap legend tweeted a picture that appeared to be a swastika intertwined with a Star of David.
Elon Musk, the platform’s owner, responded by suspending the artist. At the time, he referred to West’s post as a “incitement to violence.”
West’s anti-Semitic comments cost him a lot of business. Adidas ended its nearly decade-long collaboration with him, ditching his Yeezy-branded trainers.
The German corporation announced in May that the closure of its extremely successful relationship with West had reduced sales by approximately 400 million euros (US$441 million) in the first quarter of the year.
Gap and Balenciaga have also broken ties.
Reports have it that West promised not to share antisemitic content or use harmful language, according to the Wall Street Journal.
