Former presidential candidate Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has praised the appointment of Hon. Zephaniah Bitrus Jisalo, an Abuja native, as Minister.

His remarks were featured in a statement released by his media office following his visit to the ministerial nominee at his house in Abuja.

Olawepo-Hashim, a significant stakeholder in Nigeria’s energy sector, said that this demonstrates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (GCFR) dedication to national integration.

In his words, “I was an active player in the transition from Military rule to democracy and served as Secretary to one subcommittee of the Policy Advisory Committee. I know Abuja people have always wanted this, and now it has happened. It has taken almost a quarter of a century.

“Those who are not from Abuja or the North Central Zone will not understand how significant this is. That is why many people have been trooping from the grassroots to congratulate the honourable gentleman.”

Hon. Jisalo, who was born on April 3, 1970, is the first FCT native to be appointed Minister since 1999.
