Gunmen on Sunday night abducted the Emir of Gurku, Jibrin Mohammed, and his wife from their palatial residence in Nasarawa State.
DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa Police Command, confirmed the development to newsmen on Monday.
He revealed that the Emir and his wife were kidnapped from their palace, a few kilometres from Mararraba’s main town in Karu Local Government Area.
After getting a distress call, Nansel said a combined Police squad, in partnership with vigilante organisations, investigated the surrounding bushes but found no evidence of the abductees.
