How gunmen razed my 5-bedroom country home – Rep Agbordike

“As I am talking with you, I am homeless, my building was completely burnt in the village and nothing was rescued,” Rep. Pascal Agbordike, representing Ihiala Federal Constituency of Anambra lamented on Tuesday following the razing of his five bedrooms country home overnight.
The building was razed to the ground by yet to be identified gunmen home of at the lawmaker’s Ubahi Village in Mbosi, Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.
The lawmaker said he was unable to recover anything from the building while he could not also easily link the attack to anybody.
Agbordike called on the Police and other security agencies to carry out thorough investigation into the incident to unravel the identity of those behind the attack.
He said he got a call that the building was completely burnt in the village and nothing was rescued.
“I got a call at about 1am this morning that my house was under attack by hoodlums.
“They gained access into the compound and burnt everything down while shooting sporadically.
“I lost everything in that house, including all my documents,” the lawmaker said.
According to him, the building had five bedrooms and four living rooms.
Agbordike was the immediate past Deputy Speaker of Anambra House of Assembly.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident to NAN.
Ikenga said that the command had commenced investigation into the attack.
