USA's Noah Lyles storms to 100m gold at World Athletics championship

Noah Lyles of the United States of America (USA) has won the 100 metres gold medal at the ongoing World Athletics championship in Budapest, Bulgaria.

Lyles ran a time of 9.83 seconds to emerge winner of the race and set a World Leading record.

Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo came second in the race, with a time of 9.88 seconds to set a National Record.

Tebogo becomes the first African in World Championship history to win a medal in the 100m.

Zharnel Hughes of Great Britain ran a time of 9.88 seconds to come third, but has a milliseconds of . 874.

Oblique Seville of Jamaica came fourth also with a time of 9.88 seconds, but has a Milliseconds of .887.

USA’s Christian Coleman ran a time of 9.92 seconds to come fifth, while Abdul Hakim Sani Brown of Japan came sixth in a time of 10.04 seconds.

Ferdinand Omanyala of Kenya came seventh in a time of 10.07 seconds while Ryiem Forde ran a time of 10.08 seconds to come last.
