Tinubu appoints new bosses for NIMC, Technical Aid Corps

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday appointed new bosses for the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and the Technical Aid Corps (DTAC).

The President approved the appointment of Engr Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the Acting Director-General (DG) of NIMC, presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, said in a statement.

According to the statement, Coker-Odusote’s appointment will be initially for a 90-day period, with effect from August 24, 2023, said

The statement indicated that Coker-Odusote’s full term of four years will begin as the substantive NIMC DG effective November 24, 2023.

According to the statement, the President also directed the commencement of 90-day pre-retirement leave for the outgoing NIMC DG, Engr Aliyu Aziz, with effect from August 24, 2023.

The leave will lead to his eventual retirement from service on November 24, 2023.

In the same vein, Tinubu approved the appointment of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub to serve as the Director of DTAC.

“This follows the recent expiration of tenure of the former DTAC Director/CEO, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi,” the statement read.

According to the statement, Yakub’s appointment takes immediate effect.
