EFCC cracks 23 suspected internet fraudsters in Sokoto

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday arrested 23 suspected internet fraudsters at the Bafarawa Estate of Sokoto Town and Kalkalawa Estate, Kalkalawa area of Sokoto.
Operatives of the Sokoto Command achieved the feat.
A statement by the spokesman of the command Kamal Ibrahim said intelligence-driven observations along with intensive close monitoring proved that the young men were living above their means with no genuine source of income.
“This led operatives of the Commission to swoop and arrest them while investigations continued.
“Found with them include a red Corolla Sport 2009, a white Corolla 2015, 16 different Laptops, a generator, 30 different phones, and 2 MTN Routers.
“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” he said.
