Veteran singer Augustine Ahmedu, popularly known as Blackface Naija, has announced a shift in his career focus towards nurturing emerging talents in the music industry.

While he still plans to release an album and work on a Plantashun Boiz project, he is placing greater emphasis on his role as a music executive.

In a statement to Sunday Scoop, Blackface explained, “I am in the process of preparing an album. I am currently collaborating with a record company called Loud Houz Entertainment, where we are grooming several talented artists.

‘Additionally, we have an exciting Plantashun Boiz project in the works. People can expect to hear more from me now that I am taking on an executive role.

‘Nevertheless, I will continue to release songs periodically. My main focus is on supporting the artists signed to my record label and imparting industry knowledge to help them achieve success independently.”

Expanding on the artist development work within his label, Blackface stated, “Our approach won’t follow conventional strategies.

‘We aim to create a level playing field in the industry, ensuring that all our artists receive equal opportunities.

‘We don’t want to be concerned about some songs receiving more airplay than others. In fact, we welcome healthy competition. We believe that stiff competition will contribute to the growth of the music industry.”
