The inaugural African Climate Summit, themed “Driving Green Growth and Climate Finance Solutions for Africa and the World,” is set to begin in a few minutes.

Championed by the President of Kenya, William Ruto, this event brings together 24 Heads of State and Government, both from Africa and beyond, to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.

The primary goal of the summit is to address the growing impact of climate change and its associated costs, with a particular emphasis on Africa.

It will serve as a crucial platform for informing, framing, and influencing commitments and pledges, ultimately leading to the development of the Nairobi Declaration.

Despite some challenges experienced at accreditation centres yesterday, the event is proceeding smoothly this morning.
