The  State/National Assembly Tribunal sitting in Kano has affirmed the victory of  Tijjani Abubakar Jobe in the election
into Rimin Gado/Dawakin Tofa/Tofa Federal Constituency  seat of the State.
Abba Abdullahi Ganduje. the son of the National Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, had dragged Jobe to the Tribunal, challenging his declaration as the winner of the election into the  federal constituency seat in the February 25, 2023 National Assembly election.
Jobe  contested against Abba of the APC, under the platform of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
But the  tribunal, on Tuesday, dismissed Abba’s petition for lack of merit and upheld the victory of Jobe.
The tribunal maintained that the petitioner failed to present sufficient evidence to support his allegation that the conduct of the election was marred by malpractices.
The tribunal also awarded the sum of N200,000 as cost against Ganduje to Jobe.
