Obi and Atiku no show as PEPC begins proceedings for verdict

Proceedings have begun at the Presidential Election Petition Court, for the much awaited judgment on the petitions filed by the PDP, Labour Party and the Allied Peoples Movement against the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The judges took their seats at about 9.34 am and proceedings began with introductions.

Representatives of the parties took their turns to introduce themselves.

In the court, apart from the lawyers are Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, governors of the states of Kogi, Nasarawa, Imo, Ekiti, Yobe and PDP controlled Bauchi state.

Others include the Chief of staff to the President, Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribudu, and Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo.

But missing in the court are PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar and Labour candidate Peter Obi.

However, Labour Party Chairman, Julius Abure and activist Aisha Yesufu are present.

PDP’s Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, represented Atiku and his party.

The lawyers to the parties also introduced themselves.
