Who is Tynnie?

Tynnie whose real name is Chukwunalu Newton Emeke, is a super-talented individual with interests ranging from music to technology.

What was your growing up like?

My upbringing was remarkably intriguing, originating from a disadvantaged neighborhood, where my parents tirelessly endeavored to bring about positive change. I am from Delta State and I got my first BSc in Computer Science from ECOTES(IUG) University Benin. I also studied Physics at Delta State University. From early on, we imbibed the principles of diligence and commitment, learning the significance of hard work. During a specific phase of my life, I accompanied my Dad to work, and I had to acquire proficiency in more than four distinct professions just to navigate through life. These skills really help put food on my table.

Take us through your creative process.

My artistic method is elegantly uncomplicated. Whether I’m in the midst of a lively club, where inspiration dances with the beats, or lost in the soothing melodies that tug at my emotions, ideas flow effortlessly. It all starts with finding that perfect sound, setting the stage for the magic to happen. I genuinely think everyone vibes with instrumentals just as much as lyrics and rhythm do.

When and how did you get into the music business?
I have always been involved lol. Was DJ for a while. Also big shoutout to BlackGuru, Anzy, and Dj Crymez. It’s officially my second year, but I’ve always been involved, observing, and learning from various artists.

Your latest single ‘Wait’ just dropped how is the reception on it so far?

It’s been going well, to be honest, it has done a couple of numbers. Rome wasn’t built in a day so fingers crossed.

How was the process of making this song?

It’s pretty much the same way other artists did it, I got inspired and can’t let that inspiration just come and go so I had to seize the opportunity and record.

How challenging is it to be a musician?

It’s a challenging endeavor that requires talent, dedication, practice, and often formal training. Becoming a musician involves developing musical skills, which can be a long and difficult process

How do you balance music and other obligations like work, leisure, and family?

Juggling between music and all that isn’t the simplest of tasks for me. I’ve had difficulty keeping it all together in terms of relationships. My family has been very supportive, I am gradually unwinding from my old introverted self.

Tell us about your upcoming projects.

Right now we are working on putting out my first EP project next year, but I do not want to discuss much on it yet.

How do you hope your sound evolves/changes going forward?

That’ll be based on my experience, you know I’m still a newcomer. You know experience is an event or occurrence which leaves an impression on someone.
