Founded by Nigerian-born entrepreneur and creative director Echezonam Nwokwule, 19-89 Haute is a conscious fashion brand that merges modern minimalism with a soulful narrative. With its first product—a refined line of men’s underwear, the brand has already made a quiet but confident entrance into the world of premium essentials.
But 19-89 Haute is not chasing trends. It is shaping a movement.
“This brand was born out of a need for presence. After a series of personal losses and the transition of moving countries, I found that stillness was no longer a luxury—it became survival,” Echezonam shares. “Fashion became my medium for telling stories about healing, identity, and intentional living.”
Launched originally in Nigeria in 2022 and later re-established in the UK in 2024, 19-89 Haute’s minimalist aesthetic reflects the founder’s inner philosophy: that clothing should not scream to be seen, but whisper something worth remembering.
The brand’s debut underwear collection sold out in its first release affirming that there is a growing appetite for fashion that prioritises comfort, story, and quality. With an expanding vision, 19-89 Haute is now preparing to launch new essentials, from T-shirts to lifestyle wear, each designed with quiet craftsmanship and sustainability at its core.
Though still in its pilot stages, the brand has engaged in global fashion networks including London’s Source Fashion event and continues to build cross-continental relationships with ethical manufacturers in Portugal and Asia.
“The goal is not to become just another clothing brand,” Echezonam affirms. “It is to build a legacy, a global culture around mindful luxury. We are proving that you can lead with meaning and still be timeless.”
With a powerful message stitched into every piece, 19-89 Haute is not asking to be the loudest—it is simply choosing to be the most intentional. And that alone, is a radical statement in today’s fashion world.
