PDP gov. candidate Dino Melaye fails to show up at polling unit

The PDP governorship candidate in Kogi Dino Melaye failed to show up at his polling unit in Ayetoro-Gbede, Kogi State on Saturday.

PM News reporters at polling unit 004, ward 002, Iluafon quarters, Aiyetoro Gbede, Ijumu Local Government Area, observed that Melaye did not show up to cast his vote.

One of the PDP chieftains in the town who craved anonymity stated that Dino stayed away because he believed the outcome has been predetermined.

However, Dino later addressed journalists at his house around 2:15 pm.

He told journalists that he voted but refused to mention the polling unit where he cast his ballot.

The PDP candidate further claimed that the election was fraught with irregularities.

Dino Melaye had earlier raised an alarm over “filled result sheets” in the Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area of the North Central state.

He alleged that results sheets were filled in Kogi before the commencement of voting on Saturday.
