Gov. Douye Diri of Bayelsa State

Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has won his polling unit by a landslide in Saturday’s governorship election in the State.

The governor voted at Sampou/Kalama Ward, PU 004, Kolokuma/Opokuma LG, unit.

He polled 218 of the 219 votes cast at his polling unit, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party did not score any votes.

The African Democratic Party (ADP) scored one vote.

Diri also won in Polling Unit oo4, Talakawari Town Hall 1, Kaiama/Olobiri ward. He polled 105 votes to defeat APC’s Timipre Sylva, who got 51 votes, while Labour Party’s candidate scored one vote.

At polling Unit 013, Kaiama/Olobiri ward. Diri polled 78 votes to defeat Sylva, who garnered 55 votes, while LP scored no vote.
