67 escape death as plane skids off runway at Port Harcourt Airport

About 67 passengers and crew narrowly escaped death on Tuesday afternoon as aircraft an belonging to ValueJet Airline, skidded off the runway at Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers on landing.

PM NEWS gathered that the incident happened around 3:30 pm. However, while some of the passengers sustained injuries, there was no casualty from the incident.

Officials say no aircraft can land or take off from the Port Harcourt International Airport Airport until the ill-fated plane is towed out of the runway.

Aircraft are now being diverted to nearby Airports, but it was gathered that plans were in top gear to tow the ValueJet plane
