Nigerian hip-hop artiste Owoh Chimaobi Chrismathner, widely known as Zoro Swagbag, has shared that he had borrowed money to finance the ‘Ogene’ music video.
Zoro recalled a time when he slept on the floor in an empty room at the residence of the Penthauze Record label boss, just before his hit song ‘Ogene’ gained significant recognition.
During the latest episode of the Zero Conditions podcast, Zoro mentioned, “When ‘Ogene’ was released, I was still staying at Phyno’s house. I slept in an unfurnished room without a bed, using my shirt to tie up my dirty clothes as a makeshift pillow on the floor.”
