Nigerian pop singer Teniola Apata simply known as Teni or Teni Entertainer has released her sophomore album, ‘Tears of the Sun,’ under her new record label, ‘Sugar Mummy Records.’
The 16-track album was released on Friday, November 17, 2023.
In May, she released the LP’s lead single, “No Days Off,” a bouncy slapper produced by Genio Bambino.
Teni went further to release two more singles, the Blaise Beats-produced “Lanke” and the more recent “Malaika”, spiritually-informed off the album.
‘Tears Of The Sun’ has just three guest appearances from Nigerian stars, Made Kuti, ODUMODUBLVCK and French-Cameroonian singer TayC.
This album comes two-year after the release of her debut album “Wondaland.”
From writing songs about a life-threatening surgery she underwent to save her vocal cords, to a song expressing her gratitude to God for growth, and a song detailing how she almost got kidnapped while performing on stage at Buguma, Rivers state, she poured her heart into the album.
