A Port Harcourt, Rivers State based transgender, Daniel Nsikak, popularly known as Jay Boogie Anthony, who underwent liposuction less than a year ago to transform from a man into a woman, is now critically ill in hospital, battling with acute failure of his two kidneys.
In a viral video, Jay Boogie Anthony called on kind Nigerians for help as he claims that has spent all her life savings on medical treatment and needs urgent kidney transplant.
Jay Boogie Anthony is said said to have developed complications due to the injury he sustained after undergoing liposuction as part of procedures to shape his buttock to look like that a woman.
According to him/her, she/he is now undergoing plasmapheresis, which in medicine, is a process that filters the blood and removes harmful antibodies as a result of the botched surgery.
According to the post by the transgender, plasmapheresis is a procedure similar to dialysis but it is done to specifically removes antibodies from the plasma portion of the blood.
However, Jay Boogie Anthony said she is still unstable and her health is deteriorating and passing through severe pains and the medical procedure is very expensive, hence the appeal for financial support.
Jay Boogie Anthony, who became an instant internet sensation and commands large followership on the social media after his sudden transformation from a man to a woman with unbelievable feminine shape after liposuction is now a shadow of himself.
