Popular Nigerian singer, Abolore Adigun better known as 9ice, has been honoured with a chieftaincy title in Ogun State.

The award-winning music star took to his Instagram page to announce the conferment of his latest chieftaincy title to his fans.

9ice becomes Amuludun of Ijofin Kingdom

His chieftaincy title is “Amuludun of Ijofin Kingdom” which means the “Chief Entertainer of Ijofin Kingdom”.

9ice thanked the king of the Ijofin Kingdom for honoring him with a chieftaincy title and also pledged to continue supporting Nigeria.

9ice is known for his powerful use of the Yoruba language in his music, proverbial lyrics, and unique delivery style.

He was awarded the Best Hip Hop Artist at the MTV Africa Music Awards in 2008. Some of his most popular songs include “Little Money,” “Make Dem Talk,” and “Gongo Aso.”

Rather than staying in the entertainment industry alone, 9ice explored the realm of politics when he ran for the office of House of Representatives and took a political appointment as a Special Adviser to the then-governor of Oyo State, Late Abiola Ajimobi, in 2015.
