Ikorodu APC chieftain, Tella buried

Ikorodu-based All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Hon. Babatunde Tella, who died on Wednesday, 1st November 2023, after a brief illness, was buried with fanfare by party faithful, friends, and families.

Late Babatunde Tella a.k.a Ashiri practices his politics in Ikorodu West Local Council Development where he was well known during his lifetime.

He was appointed Special Operation: Committee on Landed Property in Lagos by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during his first term as governor of Lagos State.

The two days of befitting burial activities were organised for the departed soul, which included the prayers handled by The Light of Truth Aladura Shepherd by Rev. Mother E. G. Dawodu.

At the same time, Rev. Olukorede Dawodu conducted the church service at the residence of the deceased where prayers were offered for the repose of the departed soul on Thursday 23rd, November 2023 at the wake keep while lying-in-state was done on Friday 24th Nov. 2023 at the same venue.

Late Babatunde Tella was interned at The Heaven’s Forecourt Cemetery, Imota, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

According to the Chairman of the late Babatunde Tella Planning Committee, Hon. Sesan Dada, the departed soul is a rare gem, but his death was so devastating, “and we will miss him”

Tella is survived by wife, children, brothers and sisters.
