The first episode of MTV Base Inside Life: ‘The New Wave’ gave fans a glimpse into the lives of superstar producer Rexxie, talented singer Liya, and charismatic Afrobeats artist Eltee Skhillz. The celebrities revealed their real lives, showing the audience who they are beyond the glitz and glamour.
In Episode 1, we got an exclusive pass into the glamorous world these superstars inhabit but hold on tight because Episode 2 is set to get you in your emotions. Liya breaks down the harsh realities of being a female artist in the Nigerian music scene and opens up about the relentless comparisons that female artists face.
We see a different side of Eltee Skhillz, away from his very energetic persona, as he speaks on the weight of having a hit song. Acknowledging the critics, he says, “You know that thing wey you go drop song, wey everybody go just look say omo, this guy never drop another hit like ODG.”
But that’s not all! Fresh off his Grammy win, Rexxie is on a mission to spread love to the streets. Get ready for heartwarming moments as he shows his charitable side, proving there’s more to this hitmaker than meets the eye.
