At least five individuals suspected of being affiliated with the Aiye and Alora Confraternities have been apprehended in the Sagamu and Sango-Ota areas of Ogun State.
The state police command, in collaboration with the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, conducted multiple raids resulting in the arrest of the suspected cultists.
A police source, in an exclusive interview with Punch on Sunday, said that the suspects had intentions to wreak havoc in the communities but were intercepted and detained on Friday and Saturday.
Residents of Ntanbo Ijoko were on edge following intelligence about a potential attack by cultists on Saturday.
Prompted by community members’ information, law enforcement and safety personnel initiated patrols in the area.
