Renowned Nigerian artiste and instrumentalist, Harrison Tare Okiri, widely recognized as Harrysong said the institution of marriage doesn’t favour the wise, rich, or educated.

Harrison made the declaration amidst the marital rift involving Isreal DMW, Davido’s logistics manager, and his wife, Shiela Courage.

Taking to his Instagram page, the singer noted that neither wealth, education, nor wisdom can prevent a marriage from splitting.

“Marriage is not for the wise, not for the educated nor for the rich. Not for the righteous and the over-sabis’.

He elaborated on the complexities of marriage, emphasizing that the pivotal attributes for success in matrimony aren’t aligned with wisdom, education, or affluence.

Instead, Harrysong emphasized the importance of humility, selflessness, patience, and the willingness to serve one’s partner.

“Because none of these can keep you married. If you can’t be humble, selfless, tolerant, patient, accommodate and serve humanity. That your partner is humanity, you cannot humbly serve him or her? Don’t get married (Generation of pride, selfishness and over sabi.”
