Bayer Leverkusen winger and Nigerian professional player, Nathan Tella has said playing for the Super Eagles has boosted his confidence.
The 24-year-old player who was born in England to Nigerian parents, made his debut for the Super Eagles in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Warriors of Zimbabwe last week.
Tella started the game and was replaced at half-time by Victor Boniface.
The former Burnley player is firmly focused on club football once again.
Leverkusen will take on Swedish club, Hacken in a UEFA Europa League clash on Thursday night (today).
Ahead of the encounter billed for the Nya Ullevi, Goteborg, Tella stated that he is in a buoyant mood.
“The last few weeks have given me a lot of confidence. As a player, you always want to play and to play in the big games,” he told reporters.
” My international debut also did me good. Now I’m really looking forward to the match.”
