Fire engulfs building in Lagos

The upper floor of a duplex located at 3, Michael Ogun Street, GRA Ikeja, Lagos, was in the early hours of Friday engulfed by fire.

The fire, it was learnt, started at about 4:11 am.  The fire started from one of the rooms before spreading to other rooms. According to a message sent to PM News by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the fire was confined to the upper floor of the building before it was eventually put out.

The Service also said its operatives as well as police personnel were on ground to combat the situation.

The cause of the fire was unknown and investigation still ongoing as of the time this report was being filed.
