Nigerian fans have continued to address controversies trailing rapper Oladips’ reemergence on social media after he was reported dead.
The indigenous rapper had debunked claims that he faked his death as a publicity stunt for his latest album, ‘Superhero Adugbo.’
On November 15, Oladips’ management announced that the artiste had passed away after battling personal struggles for over two years.
Shortly after, the management released the rapper’s 17-track album titled ‘Superhero Adugbo’.
Suspicions arose recently when Wavy, a longtime friend of Oladips, posted a video claiming “he is alive” with the rapper.
He further alleged that the rapper had faked his death and would return online if his album reached the top of the music charts.
On Thursday, a video of Oladips vibing to a song from his new album with his mother dancing in the background went viral.
The caption read, “orisa bi iya osi, proof of life”.
On Thursday, Oladips addressed the videos and claims surrounding his alleged death stunt.
He called out another musician Qdot, and accused him of “misleading everyone” about his health struggle during the death controversy.
He also reprimanded other individuals purported to have spread claims that he has been healthy all the while.
Shortly after the statement, the rapper was thrust onto the receiving end of a heated social media backlash.
Many users on X questioned the rapper for calling out some people while leaving out others.
They quizzed Oladips for not blaming his managers who wrongly announced his death on Instagram.
Some users also slammed Oladips for failing to apologise to Nigerians who are still angry about the “death stunt”.
Oladips has no reasonable person in his circle to advise him. You pulled a fake death stunt, you left your fans disappointed and instead of directing your energy on apologizing to them, you’re fighting imaginary enemies.

Oladips is using his own hands to fuel Nigerians anger against him, he’s proving everybody right with this tantrums. He has called everybody out except his management that declared him dead.

If OlaDips family and management team were truly unsure of his state in sick bed, shouldn’t they have waited for a Doctor’s pronouncement before declaring him dead? If OlaDips is truly oblivious of this death scam, he should be blaming his team and not some random Twitter folks.
