Manchester City slipped to third position on the Premier League table on Sunday after being held to a 3-3 draw by Tottenham Hotspurs at the Etihad Stadium.

Heung-Min Son opened the scoring for Tottenham just six minutes into the game. He made a great solo run and pulled the trigger from inside the box, beating Ederson with a low strike into the middle of the goal.

Three minutes later, an unfortunate own goal was conceded by Heung-Min Son, who attempted to block the ball after a cross, but instead, he sent it inside the left post of his own goal to make it 1-1.

Midway into the first half, Julian Alvarez fed Phil Foden inside the box, who was unmarked and buried the ball in the bottom left corner to make it 2-1 for City.

Tottenham equalised in the 69th minute. Giovani Lo Celso latched on to a precise pass on the edge of the box and fired a low shot towards the bottom left corner that went in off the post.

City retook the lead in the 81st from Jack Grealish. He took a short pass from Erling Haaland in his stride in the box, jinks inside his man and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the bottom left corner.

Tottenham made it 3-3 in the 90th minute. Dejan Kulusevski met a brilliant cross from Brennan Johnson and scored with a bullet header from close range into the top left corner off the post.

Immediately Tottenham equalised, City’s coach Pep Guardiola fell to the ground in bitter disapppointment.
