Singer Mr Real has explained his refusal of Davido’s funding offer for his ‘Legbegbe’ video.

The ‘Legbegbe’ crooner revealed this in a recent episode of the Terms and Conditions podcast.

Mr Real cited his colleague Idowest’s false claims to Davido’s crew, alleging Idowest fabricated stories about him to 30BG.

According to Mr Real, Idowest and Obadice approached him, claiming Davido wanted to shoot their video, but he declined.

He said: “This guy, Idowest, had gone to 30BG and said things that I didn’t say. Do you know how I found out? When I was looking for funds to shoot ‘Legbegbe’ video, Idowest and Obadice came and told me that Davido wanted to shoot the video for us”.

He suspected ulterior motives behind Davido’s offer due to Idowest’s misinformation.

Rejecting Davido’s offer was unusual for Mr Real, but he sensed deceit and manipulation.

He expressed reluctance to involve Davido, discerning a hidden agenda that could jeopardize his street credibility.

“But I said I don’t want anyone to shoot the video for me. And the reason was because I had already seen the green snake and everything thing he was doing.

“On a norm, how can I reject Davido’s offer to shoot my video? But as a soji guy, me I realised that they want to run me street already; una wan come complete am with the video thing, wey be say na only one scene I go show.”

Earlier in 2018, Mr Real, Obadice, and Idowest collaborated on ‘Legbegbe.’ Recently, Mr Real accused Idowest of stealing the song and undermining his career.
