Former Big Brother Naija contestant Bamike Adenibuyan, popularly known as Bambam, has shared her journey through childbirth and postpartum depression.
During a recent conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Bambam revealed her diagnosis of preeclampsia during her initial pregnancy.
She reflected on the significant changes her body underwent due to pregnancy.
Acknowledging the unwavering support of her husband, Teddy A, during the transitional stages of her pregnancies, Bambam mentioned disregarding online criticism about her weight gain because, as she put it, “they can’t relate.”
Expressing gratitude for her husband’s support, she highlighted the unexpected physical changes she experienced, going from size 8 to 14/16 and dealing with skin tags and acne breakouts during her second pregnancy.
Opening up about her struggles, she admitted to experiencing postpartum depression, feeling surprised by her transformation and questioning her baby’s appearance.
She disclosed the shock she felt upon seeing her baby looking different and her worry about her baby’s health due to complications during the pregnancy, including preeclampsia.
Reflecting on this phase, she revealed grappling with “what if” scenarios, contributing to her postpartum depression.
