Group prays to God to give APC's Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna victory as the Supreme Court prepares to give the final verdict on Kano governorship tussle at Shiloh

A group of non-indigenous Christians in Kano has declared that they are praying to God to give the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna victory as the Supreme Court prepares to give the final verdict on th State Governorship tussle.

In a Statement entitled: “KANO NON-INDIGENOUS PEOPLE CONVERGE AT SHILOH TO PRAY FOR DR. NASIRU GAWUNA’S SUPREME COURT VICTORY,” signed by the convener, Seyi Olorunsola on Thursday, the group expressed optimism that the APC and its governorship candidate, Gawuna will emerge victorious at the Supreme Court.

Seyi, an APC stalwart, is a former Counselor who represented Sabon Gari East Ward, Fagge Local Government Area, Kano.

The Yoruba opinion leader in Kano said he is sponsoring some Christians on a pilgrimage to Shiloh to offer prayers for the emergence of Gawuna as Kano State governor.

The statement reads: “In a display of unwavering faith and determination, a group of non-indigenous Christians embarked on a spiritual pilgrimage to Shiloh, the annual gathering of Christians at Winners’ Chapel Canaan Land in Ota, Ogun State.

“The purpose of their pilgrimage is to offer fervent prayers for the success of Dr. Nasiru Gawuna in the forthcoming Supreme Court judgement concerning the Kano State Gubernatorial elections held on March 18, 2023.

“The journey of these devoted individuals is not just a symbolic act, but a testament to their belief in the power of prayer and divine intervention.

“The backdrop of this spiritual endeavor is the ongoing legal battle stemming from the Kano State Gubernatorial elections

“The APC had filed a petition against the victory of the NNPP candidate, Engr. Abba Yusuf, the incumbent Governor, and their petition was successful at the tribunal, leading to the nullification of the Governor’s victory.

” The NNPP’s appeal at the Appeal Court faced a similar fate, and now, all eyes are on the impending Supreme Court judgement.”

“As the nation eagerly awaits the Supreme Court’s decision, the Kano non-indigenous delegation at Shiloh has a singular focus – to seek God’s face and divine intervention for the victory of Dr. Nasiru Gawuna.
