Manchester City three away two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with visiting Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday to dent their quest to defend the premier league.
City were two goals up until the 76th minute when Palace pulled one back and converted a penalty in added time to make it 2-2.
City needed to win the match to keep tabs on Liverpool and Arsenal, but they blew away their chances by allowing struggling Palace to pick a draw at the Etihad.
The homers had opened the scoring midway into the first half. Jack Grealish found space inside the box to get on the end of a pass from Phil Foden, then sent the ball into the bottom right corner.
Shortly after the restart of the second half, City made it 2-0. Rico Lewis unleashed a first-time shot from inside the box and beat the goalkeeper into the bottom left corner.
