Former U.S. President Donald Trump is facing serious backlash after he said Africa and Asia migrants are poisoning the blood of U.S.
“They are poisoning the blood of our country. Not just South America, they are coming from AFRICA and ASIA,” he said in Reno, Nevada.
Trump also quoted Russian President Vladimir Putin about the “rottenness” of American democracy.
According to the CNN, Trump claimed, without evidence, that migrants are largely coming from prisons and mental institutions.
And he wondered, again without evidence, if Chinese migrants crossing the border are meant to be part of an invading army.
Trump promised to reorient the US government to purge migrants. Claiming the US is now a “haven for bloodthirsty criminals,” he said he would invoke the Alien Enemies Act, a 1798 law, to remove migrants from the country.
Jonathan Reiner, Professor of Medicine and Surgery, in a tweet, said “after hearing Trump parrot Adolf Hitler, and then the silence of GOP leaders, I’m reminded of this warning from Liz Cheney: “I say this to my Republican colleagues who are defending the indefensible: There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain.”
Chris Christie responds to the insane Trump rally last night: “He gets worse and worse by the day, and voters better start paying attention…It’s time to send Donald Trump back to Mar-a-Lago, permanently.”
Margery wrote: “Send Trump to PRISON for TREASON.”
Janopetsa tweeted: “Mara lago will probably become the new Real White House especially if he gets an ankle device. We’ll be able to tune in to that reality show for 4 years.”
Chuck stated: “Joe Biden can’t increase the minimum wage because of the parliamentarian but Donald Trump is going to become a dictator on day one.”
Chris Christie said “Donald Trump’s actions are unacceptable. Those who support him are enabling him and should be ashamed of themselves.”
