Deeper Life kicks off Global Crusade with Kumuyi

The Deeper Christian Life Ministry will begin its Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) on Thursday at the Deeper Life International Conference Centre (DLICC) along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Pakuro, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Students and management of the Deeper Life High School gave the General Superintendent of the Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi a befitting welcome to the the venue of the GCK and December Retreat on Wednesday by presenting him and his wife, Esther with bouquet of flowers, symbolizing appreciation and honour. In celebrating Pastor Kumuyi’s esteemed presence, a ceremonial march and inspection of guards was also done to honour his arrival, resonating throughout the venue.

GCK, a monthly evangelical event, is transmitted globally via satellite and various social media platforms. This crusade marks the third time the global programme will convened in Lagos.

In his address regarding the purpose of the December edition of the GCK, Pastor Kumuyi, the General Superintendent and convener of GCK, highlighted its alignment with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

This December is very special in the sense that, we’ve been having our normal National December Retreat since 1975. So, we are still having this retreat and it’s starting on the 23rd of December through till to 25th but the GCK which has been coming up now at the end of every month will start from Thursday till Tuesday, we will be starting on the 21st of December every evening until the 26th of December.

“This kind of programme is an obedience to what the Lord Jesus Christ commanded us to do of which He commanded us to go to the whole world and preach the gospel to every creature and we are playing our part to ensure that the gospel reaches everyone as much as possible.”

Reflecting on the previous successes of GCK held in various regions across Nigeria, Africa, and notably in Lagos two years ago, Kumuyi recounted remarkable healings, salvations, and even instances of medically confirmed miracles, including instances of raised individuals from death and healed ailments.

Anticipating an even more impactful crusade themed “Emmanuel,” he expressed expectations for an impactful experience for attendees, with the broadcast reaching over 200 countries.

“Since we’ve been having this crusade, we’ve been having raising the dead, hearing, cancer patients delivered and totally healed and it continued until this time. Actually we will transmit the GCK to more than 200 countries. Great will be the blessings of everyone in Jesus name”.

Addressing the recent declaration on same-sex marriage made by Pope Francis, Kumuyi reiterated the importance of adhering to Christ’s teachings.

Heaven and earth shall pass away but His word will not pass away so we stand obedient to Christ and submissive to Christ and we carry on the words of Christ that said as a man and a woman, they be joined together in marriage until death do us part,” he emphasized.

Concerning security and crowd management during the crusade, Kumuyi assured attendees of maximum security measures in collaboration with law enforcement and security agencies.

“Protection of lives is very important to us, we’ve linked up with the police and other security agencies”, he stressed, assuring a well-planned and secure environment for all participants.
