Three inmates escape from Ijebu Ode prison

The convicted inmates were said to have escaped early on Saturday morning around 3 a.m. The Nigeria Correctional Service said it was working with other security agencies to find them and bring them back to the centre.
Three of the inmates of the Ijebu Ode Correctional Centre, Ogun State have escaped from the place.
A statement by the Ijebu Imusin Area Command of the So-Safe Corps said the names of the escaped inmates are: Hammed Adeboyejo, an armed robbery and murder convict; Fatai Taiwo Akande, who was also convicted of murder; and Aliu Oguntona, who was sentenced for sexual offences.
The statement said, “The report reaching us now is that three prisoners escaped from the Ijebu-Ode Correctional Centre, whose names are Hammed Adeboyejo, who was convicted of Murder/Armed robbery; Fatai Taiwo Akande from Ijebu-Igbo, who was sentenced for murder; and the third man, Oguntona Aliu, who was convicted of sexual offence. In case you see any of them, quickly contact the office of the So-Safe Corps Command closer to you, the Nigerian Police, and any other security agency”.
