Lazarus Muoka: General Overseer of Lord's Chosen

The General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Revival Movement, Pastor Lazaus Muoka, has charged members of his church to practice the act of restitution by returning all things they wrongly acquired in the form of money, property or anything else to the original owner.

Muoka gave the charge at the end of a two-day retreat with the theme, “Only God can Do This” held at the church headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos.

He said this was because the things wrongly acquired will always cry for the original owner.

“As a practical Christian, learn to return ill-gotten things and valuables to the owner; in that respect, the urge to take things that don’t belong to you will be halted.

Describing sin as a veil that distances people from God, he said that a tradition of restitution would predispose people to lives of freedom spiritually.

“It is forbidden for you to bring ill-gotten proceeds to the altar of God as offering. Refrain from such acts, amend your ways and be saved.

“The fact that people, your colleagues, are stealing with pen in the office does not make it right for you to indulge in it.
