The General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi on Sunday asked leaders in the church to compile the list of the poor and orphans in the church so that he could give them gifts.
He announced this during the Sunday Devotional Worship service at the Deeper Life Bible Church headquarters in Gbagada area of Lagos.
Kumuyi had during the Church’s December Retreat emphasised the need to take care of the less privileged members of the church rather than spending all funds on building massive church edifices that will not be raptured when Jesus comes.
At today’s service, he charged all district and group pastors, regional, state and national overseers to compile the list of poor people and orphans in the church as he has made up his mind to give them gifts.
“Coordinators, group pastors, region overseers and state overseers and national overseers, I want to have, I want to give gifts to the poor, to the needy and to the orphans. I really really want to do that.
“So, in every region and in every state, get together with your vetting committee there and Lagos, somebody shout Lagos, let our moderator meet with the vetting committee and this is me, this is not you; I want real supply to the poor, to the needy and to the orphans.
“And so pastors, group coordinators, find out the people in your group, those who are really in need and submit their names to the reps and the reps will submit their names to the headquarters. God will provide, He will provide through us, the Lord bless everyone,” he said on Sunday.
