A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, has adjourned till 1st of April, 2024, for the trial of a Lagos business man Steve Adigwe a.k.a Isioma Abobo, alleged to have conspired with others now at large,  to import cannabis indica into Nigeria

The defendant is also charged with money laundering.

According to a six-count amended charge filed before the court by the team of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency’s prosecuting counsels, O.Iwuchukwu, I.J. Igwubor and A.N.Okon, it was alleged that Adigwe and others on or about the 30th day of January, 2023 at Tincan island Port,Lagos within the jurisdiction of the court, and without lawful authority, imported 75 . 75 Kilogrammes of cannabis Indica found in two vehicles; one Lincoln Navigator and one Toyota Yaris both concealed in a 40 feet container.

According to the charge, they committed an offence punishable under Section 11(a) of the National Drug Law Enforcement
