Army intercepts 365 packs of cannabis sativa

Soldiers from the  35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Alamala, Ogun State, have intercepted over 365 pieces cannabis sativa wrapped in papaw leaves.

The Brigagde Commander, Brigadier General Mohammed Tajudeen Aminu while handing over the cannabis weighing about 176 kg to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Abeokuta, said the suspects were arrested at Olodo, along Abeokuta-Imeko road, in the Abeokuta North local government area of the state by troops during routine patrol on January 6, 2024.

Aminu who was represented by the garrison commander, Colonel Legborsi Deedum Nule,  stated that  the Brigade would not stop to work with other security agencies in the state.

In his response,  Commandant NDLEA Ogun State Command, Commander of Narcotics Jane Ibiba Odili, appreciated  the Brigade while calling for more collaboration between the military and other security agencies in the state.
