The latest information from Maria Mutadiua, the biological mother of, Quinton Isaac Maliya who committed suicide on the 4th of January 2024 in Glasgow Scotland stated that Quinton apparently left a suicide note.
According to the police, which claimed that he had been trying to commit suicide from the age of twelve.
JOM Charity’s Human Rights and Communication Coordinator has also said the new development must be investigated.
“This is a new development to Quinton’s suicide that must be explored by the Scottish social services and the police. It obviously indicates that all had not been well with Quinton.
**Glasgow, Scotland** – JOM Charity SCIO is demanding justice for Maria Mutadiua, a mother denied the right to attend her son’s funeral due to the wishes of his foster carer. Quinton Isaac Maliya, 14, tragically took his own life on January 4th, by jumping in front of a fast-moving train, leaving behind a heartbroken family and a complex web of unanswered questions.
JOM Charity founder/ Trustee, alongside Maria and other organization representatives, met with Scottish Social Services, Police, to advocate for her right to attend her late son, Quinton’s funeral and seek a full investigation as to the possible factors behind his tragic death.
Despite Maria’s pleas, she remains barred from the funeral, a decision JOM Charity calls “against the natural course of humanity and a great injustice to motherhood.”
“Quinton was taken away from Maria at the age of two, despite no evidence of neglect or abuse,” stated Mabel Oboh, JOM Charity’s Human Rights and Communication Coordinator. “Why should a mother be denied the right to attend her funeral, especially under such tragic circumstances?”
The charity insisted that apart from the investigation into Quinton’s death, the Scottish social services need to furnish Maria details of her son’s life at school and with the Smiths, his carers “A 14-year-old taking his own life without any background reasons raises serious concerns,” Oboh emphasized. “JOM
