The Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Matawalle, has appealed to Nigerians to embrace the diverse culture that unites them as a country.

Matawalle made the appeal while as a Special Guest of Honour at the Nigerian Air Force Base Socio-Cultural Activities (BASA 2023) at NAF Base Abuja.

According to him, our culture, languages and traditions are as diverse as they are beautiful, embodied with a shared sense of community and resilience that binds us together.

He noted that it was through events such as BASA that Nigerians could appreciate the unique contributions of each culture to fostering understanding and unity.

He commended the Nigerian Air Force for recognising and rewarding the Airmen and women who have distinguished themselves in service.
