Ailing veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu has returned home after months in the hospital.

Ibu, who spoke from a hospital bed, also cried out for financial assistance over the medical condition after revealing he was battling with a life-threatening illness last year.

The film star’s plight prompted calls on social media for the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) to assist one of its own.

Several people announced their donations to the ailing actor, including the Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Foundation, which revealed it “paid the entire medical expenses of Ibu”.

On November 6, Ibu’s family revealed that the actor’s leg had been amputated after undergoing seven surgeries. He, however, remained in the hospital where had been recuperating.

Ken Erics has now shared a video from his visit to the legendary actor who is still recuperating, hinting that he was now back from the hospital.

Sharing the video via his Instagram page, Erics stated in his caption that the video was to brighten fans and lovers of Mr Ibu’s day.

“Happy Sunday Lovelies ❤️ Something to brighten your day,” the film star wrote on Instagram.

The news of ace actor returning home from hospital has ignited excitement and jubilation among Nigerians and admirers, who eagerly await his return after surgery.
