The Management of the University of Ilorin has expelled one of its postgraduate students, Mr Mathew Adeboye Balogun popularly known as Plato over alleged sexual misconduct.

In a letter published via its bulletin on Monday, the varsity management said Balogun was expelled, having been found guilty of an allegation of sexual molestation committed against vulnerable students and admission seekers into the university.

According to the expulsion letter, signed by Moses Opaleke, deputy registrar of student affairs, Balogun was invited to appear before the student disciplinary committee on October 16, 2023, which he did not honour.

The expulsion letter was, however, served to him on October 25, 2023.
