Kizz Daniel opposes Shettima, claims ‘Buga’ is Africa’s anthem

Renowned singer Kizz Daniel has refuted Vice President Kashim Shettima’s claim that his hit track, ‘Buga,’ is on the verge of becoming Nigeria’s second national anthem.

Instead, Kizz Daniel contends that the song holds the status of being the anthem of the entire African continent.

Recall that in a recent interview, Shettima highlighted the global recognition of Nigerian art and culture, singling out Kizz Daniel and Tekno’s ‘Buga’, suggesting it could be akin to a second national anthem for Nigeria.

Responding to the interview, Kizz Daniel expressed gratitude for Shettima’s acknowledgment but clarified that ‘Buga’ resonates beyond Nigeria, stating its position as the anthem of Africa, not just one nation.

He wrote, “Actually, it is the continent’s anthem. Thank you, Vice President Kashim Shettima.”
